Recipe for Playdough!

If you are looking for something fun to do with your kiddies, here is a recipe a friend shared with me for home-made Playdough.

The Recipe:
4 cups of all purpose flour
4 cups of water
1 cup of salt
3 tablespoons of Cream of Tartar (available in the spice section)
2-3 tablespoons of vegetable oil
Color (food coloring or a small splash of tempura paint)

Directions:
Add food coloring and oil to the water first. Mix the remaining ingredients in a large saucepan and cook on medium heat. Stir Constantly! (the recipe is yelling at you!) when the Playdough looks like the consistency of scrambled eggs, take it off the heat. Dump the Playdough onto the table or counter and knead it until soft. Let the kids help with this part, they'll love it.
