A Marathon Monday we will never forget

If you don't live in Boston you might not have known what Marathon Monday was until today.

Every year on Patriot's day our city comes alive and hosts the oldest and most popular marathon in the world. Most people have off work. Schools are closed. People from all around the world come to our beloved city, after training for months, to run the race of their lives. The streets are lined with people throughout the entire 26.2 mile marathon route, cheering on the runners as the speed passed. Whether you know someone running or not, the city becomes one big family, supporting those who are participating in the marathon with posters, hugs, food, water, shouts of encouragement.

The energy in the city is electric.

It is something you have to experience to believe.

Today was a Marathon Monday we will never forget.

Our thoughts and prayers are with all of the victims and their families.
